Getting a little Christmassy

We went carol singing at our church. We turned up late because I completely forgot it was on. I only realized when I got a call from my sister who lives at the other end of Aus and she started the conversation by saying,

"oh, so your not going to the carols??"

Firstly, how does she know when my church carols were on and secondly why ring someone if you are expecting them to be out??  I’m really glad she did though because I’d promised the kids we would go and I wouldn’t have heard the end of it if we hadn’t.

Lani also reminded me as we were cramming the kids into the car that I had also promised that they could dress up. Aaahhh, a ten second panicked grab session in the dress up box followed. And in the time it took Glenn to get them clicked into the car I had produced a Mrs Clause (Lani in a ready made costume we were given) An Angel (Lilly with a white dress and fairy wings) A Christmas Elf ( Eli, In a peter pan costume with a santa hat on) and one of the three wise men (Sabi with a princess hat and red king cape) I thought i did ok for the time allowed but poor Eli kept getting called Santa Pan all night.

Singing their little hearts out. Lani is a bit of a Santa nerd, she just couldn’t keep the belt in the right spot. 

Then we went Christmas tree hunting, which as you can tell from the photo is a very hard task, just so hard to find them pesky little trees.

But in the end we found our perfect tree, it had to be we checked every single one at the farm

They all helped cut it down and even had a go at picking it up, but in the end the prickles won. Don’t you just love the lush green Australian Landscape in all these photos? (insert sarcasm here)
