I just realized something, I don’t think I ever throw keys out.

keys

This cup is a sort of key ring for all the loose keys I have, non of them open anything anymore. Items of note, the coloured keys were a present for Glenn before we were married they opened my parents house before they changed the locks which they swear has nothing to do with me giving him the keys. The necklace is the one I wore on my wedding day.

keys

These are the keys for our car, before we traded it in.

The Croc key ring is Glenn’s, his Mum lives in Darwin, they have crocs there. The triangle thing is my souvenir from Uni it was the cutting blade from some metal cutting machine, I thought it looked cool.

keys

These were my original set of keys, I think maybe a few still open doors at Mum and Dad’s but most are from the last three houses we have lived in. The cross thingy is the pendant  of an early 90s necklace, you know the time when giant peace signs were in fashion.

keys

These are the keys that are in use at the moment. They are more functional than pretty but the little light is cool and we have recently discovered it stops the baby screaming in the car, well at least for a little bit.

You could make a pretty ornament or windchime with all those obsolete keys. That is a lot of keys.

Geez – that’s a lot of keys! I’d forget which one was which!!! I’ve just moved from Darwin (well, 4 months ago). Crocs everywhere!!!

  4. Sarah says:

Yeah I could just waltz right into at least three other houses, I wonder if the guy who lived here before us handed in all the keys, mmm maybe I should change the locks and get some more keys 🙂

  5. Liz P says:

We’ve always changed locks when we’ve moved in to a new house – that said both places we’d bought (not renting) and we’ve only moved once since being married (other than out of our parents’ houses).

I like how eclectic your collection is.

Ha, yep. I’m a key collector too. I just feel bad throwing them out. What if I finally remember what they were for?

Note to self: buy little light for keyring to keep baby from screaming in car. I’ll try anything at the moment!!

Mine used to have all kinds of stuff too, till I culled! I hate my blessed thing – always end up fumbling in the bottom of my bag to get in to either the door or the letterbox
