It’s Lani and Lilly’s birthday party on Saturday. I prefer planning Eli’s parties. He usually gives be a years notice as to what theme he would like, and also details that need to be included. I like that, I can live up to expectations, I can  make dreams become reality. What I don’t like is when there is no dream, no expectations except "Oh I don’t know I just want it to be WONDRFUL"

Right ok one wonderful party coming right up…wanta give me a few clues as to which particular type of wonderful you are after this year Honey???

If they continued to be happy with a Yeah Whatever party I’m sure it would be fine but the worst part is (and they do this every year) about two weeks from the party they come up with lines like these resent ones "I want and animal kingdom Party….with all the animals in the world…..not just jungle…..we can have farm ones and jungle ones and desert ones…Oh Oh Oh and everyone can be an animal and I want to be a crocodile with tryangley bits on his tail and scales ….and ….and….and"

So after a few idea culling sessions (I have drawn the line at the monkey swinging from the roof top game) and a few expectation deflating talks along the lines of "There is no way on earth I have time to make a tryangley scaley thing with big eyeballs in one week" we have settles on a workable plan. Which involves me making 17 tails, but believe me the other options were much worse. And now I’m going to be mean and not tell you anything more about the party till after Saturday. I just needed you all to know I’m sewing 17 tails. Did you hear that 17 tails!

Oh and I’m also making a toy for a swap with the beautiful Tabitha at Small Things and I am so dreadfully behind, sorry. I promise Addie will get her cowey doll thingy soon, I hope.

Oh, you poor dear! That is a lot of tails. Can’t wait to see what you’ve come up with though. You have such creative party ideas.

And I need to POST the hat! I don’t know why but I have a dreadful aversion to posting things. It could be because of how grumpy the post office man is here. Yep, I’m blaming him.

    Good luck for the party!!!
